Hearthstone Happy Hour: The “Have you missed me?” Edition with Blizzcon 2018 News….

It’s November and I finally came back to Twitch, Youtube and Mixer for more ridiculously bad card playing with Hearthstone at perhaps the right time, at least from a Blizzard Games perspective as this was the opening night of Blizzcon 2018 and oh boy, were there some things to mull over after the Opening Ceremony…..

The ire that Diablo Immortal has gotten in the last few hours has been impressive to say the least and yeah, it’s going to be interesting to see exactly how Blizzard can spin that mobile phone game reveal to be a positive for the fanbase.

But enough of that, we got a new Expansion trailer and news for Hearthstone and of course we go into the tiny amounts of detail we had at the time.

Once I drivel on long enough about Blizzcon’s news, I struggle with the Tavern Brawl of making random cards win the day, and then even feel giddy with a free Arena run where you basically know with my history of terrible plays, you know what will happen!

It was also a massive pleasure to see people back after I’d been missing for a while and I hope also to be back a bit more often too. Enjoy!

What the hell did I just watch?

Seriously, I’m not really sure in this latest Aftermath video where I talk about the indie darling by all accounts; Mandy, Starring Nicolas Cage as a man who after loses his wife / partner / not sure to weird LSD mother lovers with the help of random demons on quad bikes, he goes and kills them.

It’s going to take some kind of explanation here and frankly, I’m not sure I can do it justice….. See for yourself….

Hearthstone Happy Hour: The “I’m busy doing other crap on Thursday” Edition

It’s a busy week for the Lord of Leisure and that means that this week’s Hearthstone Happy Hour occurred a day early so then you all still get to laugh at how bad I am at this game!

This week’s Tavern Brawl involved playing as various random champions with special hero powers which either condemn you to ruin or allow to you to pretend you have all the skills! Seriously, the Paladin hero, the White Knight where you play chess pieces down has some real legs in this tavern brawl, which I never expected!

Then I try my hand at Murloc Paladin on standard to see if it still works and then I try to build an impossibly broken deck with Shudderwock and Reno Jackson….. oh yes….. It’s a lively livestream for sure!

A trip down Memory Lane: XCOM 2

In a fully professional and “non-edited to remove all the cock-ups which occurred before the cropping here….. cough…..livestream” here from Twitch, we happily go back to XCOM 2: War of the Chosen to relive some of Central’s happy go lucky days in-between the events of XCOM1 and 2, the reboots of the original XCOM made by Firaxis games. Called the Tactical Legacy Pack, this new DLC was free to anyone who already had War of the Chosen. So what more of an excuse did we need to go back to XCOM?

Marvel at the level of success and failure during the livestream and then wonder where all the time went! Want to see a battle with zombies, snakes and mud monsters galore? Then this livestream has it all!

Also, it becomes so damned obvious that we really shouldn’t reveal too much of the map so soon when it comes to playing the game and Overwatch is still by and far your best friend.

Hearthstone Happy Hour: The “Messing Around with Shadow” Edition

In the first of a few livestream attempts of using a new game streaming service, tonight’s Hearthstone happy Hour takes us back to an earlier time, when we all enjoyed playing with Webspinners all night long no matter what in this week’s repeat Tavern Brawl.

Randomness and losing are all on show, but the main thing was to try to begin with to see if using a Virtual Machine based in a datacenter in France for gaming was indeed a viable solution for those of us who want to game on the latest stuff without having to pay a ridiculous amount of money for a decent gaming PC.

So Shadow kindly allowed me a month to test out their service in a variety of situations and devices and this was the first one. There will be many more to come over the next month on Shadow so stay tuned, if only to see me game badly and then blame something else for it! Like my still lingering cold and sore throat…..

Venom…. The Aftermath…..

In the first Aftermath video of October 2018, I finally sit my bottom down in the cinema to watch Sony’s latest Marvel spin-off project, Venom. Albeit with a dodgy nose and sore throat.

Given this will not feature anyone in the Marvel Cinematic Universe like they have now done with Spiderman to great acclaim, and of course they would have to redo everything to ensure it all worked standalone, how would the wisecracking, head eating symbiote from space get along with Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock?

Does it have enough by itself to succeed or will the difference once Marvel isn’t involved be too much? Only one way to find out….

Demo from Beyond the Stars! Between the Stars actually…..

To celebrate hitting 50 subscribers on both Twitch and Youtube which then for some reason meant I became a proper gaming channel person type thing, I played through a demo of Beyond the Stars by Isolated Games after their producer Alex Poysky sent a message on the new site I was apparently accredited on to have a butchers at the demo being used for a Kickstarter right now.

In this edition of the Hearthstone happy Hour live streamed on Twitch, Youtube and Mixer, we felt the cold touch of Arthas again as Blizzard celebrated the one year anniversary of “Knights of the Frozen Throne” with a themed tavern Brawl and two additional quests giving away lots of gold!

There was also some news regarding future stuff coming to the game, so obviously I had to make your ears bleed about all that stuff in between talking to people on the livestream chat. Enjoy!

EGX 2018: The Indie Game Bit

So after all the queues etc of big games, I decided bigger all that and go play around some smaller titles. Remarkably, best decision made! Picked up one of the games too as a result of trying it here today too as it’s on Steam Early Access. Grip Combat Racing was a blast and as a result of spending time with Matt from Wired Productions, I bought it!
