It occurred to me that basically since the end of last year, very little has happened here on this old blog to keep any young whippersnappers or otherwise informed as to how lazy the Lord of Leisure has been during the epic darkness that has been 2024.

Well suffice it to say it’s been quite a bad year for a number of personal reasons and now that we are fast approaching the end of 2024 in a matter of weeks, I can’t wait for it to be over and yet another fresh start can be had.

Oh you can say that at least the façade of life living has been shared in various places on the internet. Those of you who got bored may have happened upon the Instagram feed or even on occasion dared to be like everyone else who has had enough of the Musk’s bulls*it over on Twitter and thus stampeded over to that new BlueSky thing.

But in truth, a lot of the year has been spent either in the Fortress of Solitude hiding from the day walkers, or indeed quite a bit of time in Sunny Wales. That was due to the bad things ongoing. But now as we head into the darkness of winter, hopefully there is a reprieve from the meh. Well, till January. Downtime to rethink and regroup is required. Probably a dire need to get away from it all too.

I suspect the way the year has been, not just personally, but for many folks yet again, we can easily say that; As with a lot of life, there are times when we are tested. But this is not all there is and there are brighter days ahead.

To believe otherwise, would be to give in and be consumed by it all. We can’t have that now, can we?

It’s why I came back to even write this little message, it was just to say; Yep, still here!
