Bloodstained: The Ritual of Leisure
Oh dear oh dear…… I made a bit of a mess-up on this one, didn’t I? Basically I picked up Bloodstained: The Ritual of the Night on one of the many sales that was recently had online, due to various reviews and so forth being outstanding.
Well, save for the Nintendo Switch version which apprently at the time of this going out, still has performance issues which hopefully will be addressed soon.
Created by the original director of Castlevania after he left Konami back in 2014, this kickstarted game answered all the fans’ prayers of having another game in the genre that honestly, I never played much if at all before.
So what better way to fail than at a genre I don’t play? Gaming Car Crash, deploy!
This is the PC version of course that I play with the trusty ol’ Xbox One Joypad and to begin with it seemed to go well, the obvious things from Castlevania were obvious, along with the required p*ss taking which was needed of course. But when it came to the first boss battle during the tutorial level on a boat…. DAMN!
That boss battle boiled my p*ss something firece and in all the ways really tarred my experience with the game in the opening two hours you see here. I couldn’t shake it off, it was just annoying beyond boredom and in the end, I still didn’t know how I beat the boss. Seriously, watch for yourself, you will not get it either.
Things get better once we reach the castle…. but damn that first boss battle…..
