I’ve taken time today to write about something dear to me. No, it’s not about that. You naughty scamps! As you all know I have a slight addiction to the card game, Hearthstone, which I’ve insisted on livestreaming for some time over the past year or so, and I planned to return to that towards the end of March.

I’ve also spent an insane amount of money on the game over the years. So forget about Trumpcare, in which millions of people will lose health coverage or the meh around the raise in National Insurance in the UK for self employed people, because now we have to pay more for digital cards we will never hold in our hands. THIS IS THE ACTUAL OUTRAGE OF 2017! AND I’M ON THE INTERNET WHICH MEANS AT NO POINT SHOULD I HAVE A FUNCTIONING SENSE OF PERSPECTIVE!

Bllzzard Entertainment made the annoucement on their forums today over at https://eu.battle.net/forums/en/hearthstone/topic/17615113897 and people overall are not happy. Various theories have gone out there as to why this has happened, including financial turmoil as a result of Brexit along with various other weakened markets.

But I sadly have a different take; They are just now greedy b*stards.

Yep, plain and simple folks, they’re changing their releases to have three expansions a year and now want to hike up prices to take advantage of people, like me really, to pay more to keep with new fancy stuff as they come out more and more. Not only that, the heroic Tavern Brawl, which costs a tenner every time to enter came back this week (of which you lose to the same decks over and over again to get next to nothing back)

Cheaper to go on the Bus to Cardiff than go on this journey….

And you know what? I’m now wondering whether or not to even bother with the game any more aside from being only a free to play player forever more. As it stands, I would rather save the cash for new complete games like Mass Effect which is a massive game promising to be a wonderful game over many hours. There’s even the beta for GWENT, the card game created in the Witcher game series out which seems to be getting a lot of praise.

Long story short, there’s more competition on the gaming market and Blizzard literally just put me, and it seems many others off from paying them more cash in a rush any time soon. I had already pre purchased the next expansion pack (Journey to Un’Goro) before the annoucement, and that I will keep. But that’s going to be it for me for the time being. Enough, and honestly, I’ll spend the money elsewhere. Like on nipple clamps.

I did say earlier I’m on the internet here, you should expect to see weird sh*t!
