At the moment, most of the day has been spent in front of this machine working on the “work based” project for the degree, I have parts of the system up and running and I hope to have the final barebones system working by the end of next week which means I turn then to the documentation which will be a boat load of complete b******ks but it’s the stuff that those academic people like and get themselves off on, so what the hell.

I am out tonight, supporting Russ H at Wolverhampton Uni. His band is playing there and I missed the last gig, so yes I am there homies, getting down with the kids and all that jazz. Yes I’m a 25 year old “old guy” who moans about the “youth” of today, hell help me when I reach 30. I’ll be on Grumpy old people on BBC 2 remembering the good old days when the internet didn’t have Myspace.

Which is funny seeing as the news reported aside from the tax system going wrong, the weather being slightly outputting and various people either going silently into the night before their time, which seems to be a tragic occurence more these days (Heath Ledger springs to mind) or going into various rehab clinics, is that people are sick of social networking sites.

Big surprise.

Of course the novelty will wear off in time. After all the best social networking site is outside, away from the glaring screens we sit in front of day after day. How can they truly complete to seeing and talking to people in the flesh? One may even laugh at how much Microsoft spent on Facebook all that time ago, only now seeing whoops, maybe it won’t be worth as much.

Mind you, they are now trying to buy Yahoo! to compete with Google. All this money floating around, and you do wonder how all these things get to be worth so much? Hype it seems to be.

I’m off now to have a wash. Yes it’s that time of year. Stay frosty and Ooorah as those marines seem to say all the time… (what the hell does that mean anyway?)
