2nd January: Ate lots.
So here we are, the second day of the New Year, filled with hopes and dreams of what is to come, along with various New Year’s resolutions and seemingly endless amounts of fitness DVDs.
I would comment further on New Year, some of the resolutions I do have and ones I would actually hope to keep, but I am saving that for the podcast, which I will being sorting out shortly and I am hoping to have recorded for the 19th of January which should hopefully have the following content.
The format of the show is still up in the air, and actually the length of the show can change, with smaller more frequent updates being a possibility to the monthly audio tome of delight. This and other things I will be more than happy to keep people posted on.
New Year has indeed passed, which meant a return to work for many people, who basically will be suffering from the hangover of having so much time off in the first place. You will feel a certain malaise and sleepiness, and basically you just wait for the weekend to come.
You will have got used to going out on the drink, not waking up in the afternoon, eating lots and playing with your new shiny toys that Father Christmas brought you for the reward of being good boys and girls (mostly good, well, good sometimes, well, alright we’re all bad) such as a remote control helicopter or a shiny penny.
And having to actually care again, to quote our American friends, blows.
Regretfully that was my feeling today, I have this inexplicable feeling of just wanting to go back to sleep, but I remember that this is my normal response these days. My belly, reeling from the orgasm of binge eating that is Christmas, is now on a permanent boat of being full and the ways of change does not come easy.
The eyes are also aching a fair amount which is why this update is actually being kept more brief than normal. So for now dear campers, I bid you all a good evening and enjoy the rest of your week.
