Where have you gone?
The posts on this colossus of a website, which growing to be a force for good instead of evil, much to the disgust of the owner, have been scarce of late to one or two very good reasons it must be said.
1) Crysis has been played quite a lot in order to regale you all in how good or bad it is, depending on the outcome of the findings post game playing. Check back on the site for the review, coming later this week.
2) Work has required the presence of the Lord of Leisure.
3) The Girlfriend has required the presence of the Lord of Leisure.
4) The bed has required the presence of the Lord of Leisure.
5) (Insert generic thing here) has required the presence of the Lord of Leisure.
Of course, Christmas is ever fast approaching, along with the pain and misery of doing the shopping in time and trying to think of things to buy for people that they don’t want, this week presents not one, not two, but three separate Christmas outings.
Tuesday, brings the viewing of the Golden Compass, the recently released fantasy film starring James Bond, and the blonde sort who used to do naughty with the guy who does naughty with the girl from Dawson’s Creek. As for names, I cannot reveal them for security purposes….
Wednesday will bring an evening of food and drink, along with trying to find out who killed someone in the library with the candlestick, as it’s a murder mystery evening at Highfield Hall, way back up in sunny Wales, once more. Being honest, I expect to be half dead afterwards after I try and cheat on others with the bill, by using the classic tactic of “Hey, what’s that over there?” and running away.
Thursday brings the company Christmas party over in Telford with all the headaches and pain that goes with it. You see, every year there is a theme to the party and it appears they have dragged the bottom of the river looking for gold, but have come up with a crate of old boots and a 1982 Lada 1200.
This year, it’s the theme of the school disco. Yep, I know, the image of old people in tight fitting shirts and skirts, reliving the crappy existence of learning and trying to get off with each other, while Duran Duran plays wistfully in the background is all around.
But it’s free.
Suddenly it doesn’t seem so bad…but of course should people despair at the lack of updates due to the tour de force this week, rest assured that Friday would bring a glut of information as I have secured a long weekend, a great achievement long overdue and I shall be using the time to great use.
Despite the fact that the lord of Leisure decrees that all time should be spent watching films in your jim-jams while scoffing down enough bags of Doritos to feed Africa, that activity will be placed on hold in favour of work required on various enterprises.
The next podcast will be released on the 22nd of this festive month and it’s another extended show due to the glorious fact that the next one is the best of ooh sometimes, where some of the best material from the past year, be it in Print form or audio will be showcased for your dining and dancing pleasure.
All in all, a fair amount to look forward to, take it easy campers, and keep the faith. Or some other silly sentiment.
