24: Tuesday Briefing
Hello good people, I return from the V Festival, knackered and slightly bemused. I will explain all later but for now, let’s just say V 2007 was different to V 2006. My word, a lot happened, yet nothing much did happen, and so much for so little. My, I’m good at all these riddles, maybe I should start writing for that show, Lost.
Granted I would have had more things make sense than just throwing random things into the plot to keep it going. I bet you the next episode will end up with the cast running from man-eating jam donuts, then having to create a new method of transport to get the ancient stone of Burger King who really made the island to sell more whoppers. Who knows?
It confuses the hell out of people, and being honest I got bored after the first episode. The only good bit was when that guy got sucked into the turbine.
Anyway as usual I digress. After the “excitement” of V, nat and I settled down and had a day off yesterday from the real world before waking up badly into it today, boy I was tired today and well slightly ill-equipped to deal with work.
Everyone wanted to know what V was like and what we did, but in all honesty I didn’t have that much to say. It was just a case of catching up with fellow campers, John, Matt, Rich seeing how they were after the event. Also getting a few things organised for future fun and frolics, hopefully all involving indoor activities in a nice warm setting.
Just the weather got to me a wee bit amongst other things. All will be explained as best I can on the podcast at some point, I’m still in a sense trying to get it all together a lot of it was a blur now I come to think of it. Kinda strange because I still remember a lot about Glastonbury this year, and V 2007, a lot of it is hazy at best. Not all of it is down to booze by the way if you are wondering.
Still this week there is plenty of time for reflection, this Friday to next Thursday I am on call so no real shenanigans are going on so I am going to catch up with all the work I have been needing to do for a fair while on the website and around the house, providing of course Work doesn’t call, pleading to clear Remote Desktop Connections or something!! It’s going to be nice to have a three day weekend to do whatever I want. And without going anywhere too. Hmmm, sounds like heaven.
Oh yes, and the woman from Norwich Union who left the message on the blog about the Car business has been in contact. It seems she is more than eager to help get the matter resolved, so let’s see what happens. Even if they turn around and say it was my fault, at least the whole business will be finally over and done with. It’s not the fact that I don’t know what way the facts are going to go, it’s just the fact it’s still ongoing when other things have moved on.
Oh and one final note: We have a wasp’s nest at the back of the house. Nice.
Well campers, for now, I bid you all good night.
