24: Tuesday Tandoori
Strange name I know, but I do love curries and I have never had one on a Tuesday hence the title. I would like to have a tandoori on a Tuesday. Mind I would love it every day except one, my stomach wouldn’t take it and two, my arse wouldn’t take it either. I am at my most lethal after having some Indian food, I just cannot stop, it’s a free force of it’s own!!
Anyway enough of my bowel movements, I need to write about some things which I have been doing today. While at Work today, in between doing lots and lots of auto logged calls about servers which have nothing wrong with them, I rebuilt the Dell laptop with Vista (Strange choice I know, but for my purposes it will do fine until something better comes along) and installed the relevant progs I need for playing with the design of the web site.
Also finished doing the Dev Web Server (Windows 2003, I have the License, may as well use it) so I can start playing off-line instead of wreaking this place all the time. You see, I have done a lot of changes in the background to this blog, and every so often I do mess up. Took the site down one time because I was trying to tidy up the place. Eep!!
So in theory, I will be able to do a bit of homework at work now, however this hinges on the fact that nothing else is going on whatsoever, which being honest doesn’t come around that often. But it does and it is good that I still have something to get on with.
Now this is all very geeky and boring I grant you. But alas dear viewers It is what I have been doing and regretfully every post can’t be filled with tales of excitement battling hordes of evil plants or whatever while swinging on a tree to save a loved one from a slightly angry cat with a sinister history, although that does give me an idea for an advert.
Didn’t really remark on the outing to Manchester, did I? Well campers, it was at the invitation of Glyn that Nat and I made our jolly way up to Manchester, to have a socialised evening filled with talk about things happening in the world, talking of culture and the refined ways of life.
And they invited me? I have all the social grace of a cabbage set on fire.
Still that didn’t stop the evening from being a good un. We all sat around outside again, the rain staying away yet again, twice this year now, what’s going on? Rainy Manchester is losing it’s reputation!!
Glyn hopefully will be getting new employment and I wish him all the best with that. We are still all doomed if the egg heads switch on their fangled contraption to prove some particle exists and it could wipe us all out. That was such a nice thing to learn that…we are all royally screwed by people who don’t know what they are doing.
Having said that of course, you could say that we are all royally screwed over by Life (and it’s dirty brother death) itself all the time so what’s new? But that would be cynical 🙂
Anyway it was jolly nice being up there, Sunday was spent again talking about various things as we did, eating a hearty brunch, and in the afternoon Nat and I strolled around Manchester taking in some sun, some egg mayo, and some shopping again. She said it was too nice to be inside a museum….HONEST!
Got back quite late as it goes, and I missed the Hospital Radio Show, so got to make sure I am back for that next weekend. Can’t afford to be tardy on that now can we? After all it’s a hoot playing what people want while talking rubbish. Speaking of which, The radio course itself is not long before that is finished. Shame. Boo hoo and woe is me, what will I do next? Probably some other course….:)
And finally day two of the Kitchen Refurb is over, and bloody hell it’s coming along well. Mum’s phrase of “It’ll look nice when it’s finished” won’t come close, will take a pic and post online when It is all over. That’s if people are interested.
Mind you, still don’t have a clue half the time if people are interested in the crap happenings of this old chestnut. As I said last week on that Wednesday when I was feeling particularly silly, there are lots of things happening, you just have to look for them, and to some all this is boring, but to others, there is interest. Which is nice, at least writing all this is not a complete waste of time, which fills me with joy.
The blog is one of the few things I have stuck at, it’s now been a year since the first post (1st August at around Midnight) and well the thing has been going from strength to strength. Here’s to another year of waffle!! I think there should be some cake or something.
Speaking of year celebrations, it’s also been a year, since I met Natalie, and we started seeing each other so hooray!! She has put up with my shenanigans for so long, don’t know how, maybe it’s one of those unexplained mysteries? We’ll have to do something for that too methinks. Hopefully something involving whipped cream……
And another note, Hello to Dave and Chris in sunny Wales, hope all is well and Transformers is out you know. Methinks we should see that. Also hello to Sian, hope the job comes through ok. And to Chez, hope all is well on your side of the world now.
2nd August is Haydn’s Birthday so Happy Birthday to you sir, and wish you all the best.
And I think that’s it for the Tuesday Tandoori, maybe it should be a feature? Ah who knows…
Take it easy campers and for now, this is the Space Adventurer signing off for another blog post, untill next time! BYE!!!!
