24: The weekend is done!
Tuesday is here, and right now I type away very happy in many ways but sad in one way for a friend. Chin up my dear, there are better people.
Anyway, Manchester was a great time up there, seeing Mr Glyn once again and Scooby and the rest of the gang. Here’s a picture nicked from Glyn’s blog and you will notice something that some of you will know to be impossible:
Yes, do you not see? NO RAIN!! Every time I have been to visit Glyn up there, the heavens open up and I always have a feeling that Noah’s ark is going to flow down the river. but for once, and only once there was no rain. Brilliant!
The usual gang was there, Kevin (Colombo), Sam, Dave, Kelly, Glyn’s Mum and Speical guests that I have never seen in Manchester before, a scary bloke who talked about trains and getting out of paying fines. And the other woman who didn;t really say much that I can remember but seemed nice anyway. Oh and Natalie was there…..aye, true guv’nor,
My darling girl had braved the journey with me this time to see the marry people and yee ha it was good. Loved Glyn’s mum by all accounts, and thought all these people were great. The geeks there all chatted about how crap Windows Vista was, and remark on many many world eventy things, you see that’s one of the things I like about the nights out up there, you can talk about social issues in an open forum while getting drunk. Nice.
Sunday was spent waking up, leeching various TV shows off Glyn, and was introduced to Monkey Dust from the BBC, and a character known as the Peudo-finder General (By the powers invested in me by a Sky News Phone Poll, I execute you!) it’s a late night cartoon kids, and if you ever saw it you will know why.
I must admit it is one of the strangest and funniest things I have seen in such a long time, and it sends up Life so well, it’s just a sight to behold. Fair play mate for finding that!
Natalie and I walked around rainy Manchester, wandering round, Nat wanted to see everything in the few hours we had but alas it can not always be the case, and it will have to wait until next time, which by the looks of things will be in two weeks time.
Didn’t get back till late as a result, and didn’t really see Mum and Dad this weekend which was weird. But on Saturday we did have abit of a chat while I was doing ironing, and today Mum told me some great news (touch wood) that Aunty Bett will be home on Saturday after she had a home visit today. Fantastic news! I feel like drinking full of merriment.
I really do campers, because it is the news I have been waiting for such a long time. It will be great to see her again in the evenings after I run away here there and everywhere once again.
And now as I type this on the use and abuse machine at work I find myself thinking, Get the bloody podcast done!! See all in all, I never do anything exciting, and yes it seems people still read this rubbish. Even had a message from someone at school I used to know, Mr Stoo Mackintosh. He has a pole dancer for a girlfriend. Git. Till next time, good people! Move along!
