24: Glastonbury in Pictures
Hello Campers, seeing as well I am on call at work and want to waste as much time as possible, here are some pictures from the great festival that is Glastonbury.
In case you are wondering, the weekend I hope to get the podcast ready for release, the video from Glasto is to be sorted, you see there wasn’t much good footage I’m afraid, dodgy camera, but never mind!! Let’s Press On!!
The traffic to actually get to the festival…eep.
Here you see hordes of people arriving in on the Wednesday evening. Yes I set out from Oswestry at 9am and got there at 6pm. HOW?!?!
And yes they were not kidding. The mud was that bad. Who is that handsome chap standing there heroically? hmmm…. 🙂
Here is the first group picture, which is everyone who went, James, Matt, Jon, Gareth, The legendary Andy (you’ll find out later why!!), James’ mate, James, and some random bloke who wanted to be in a picture.
Here is the other group shot of the people I occasionally hung around (becuase I kept wandering off), great fellas all of them.
Nuff said.
Here is a lovely view of the pyramid stage. Ini’t big? (stop it!)
These lot brought all their stuff up in a pram and just belted out music. YEEHAAAA!
These lot were from Japan, and I tell you what, they were amazing, the speed at which they can play is brilliant!!
This is the man behind the great beast that is Duke Special, remember I was telling you all about them as they were the support band for the Divine Comedy last year, well he was performing at Glasto, and this picture was taken after he had a wee. Perfect Timing….
This woman just scares me, but her music’s nice.
The Killers, in an uber tiny picture, And yes the stories are true, the sound was too low, TURN IT UP!
The Magic numbers, they were great live, and again one of the few bands which got the crowd going well. Fair play!
Great to see these perform, and their new stuff isn’t that bad.
The great lady herself, the picture does her no justice to how she looked on that stage.
These lot: Pure Genius on stage, a joy to watch. Ricky never stopped jumping about.
Wonder who’s on next.
A fleeting glimpse of the great players themselves. Only two of the who remain, but what they performed was great!
And I am afraid that was it for the pictures, these were the only good ones from the whole trip, the whole lot will be put on MySpace soon and then here in some form or another in terms of a gallery. Just have to get stuff going first campers, and yes I will be also posting on returning to reality, which is strange after all that….hmm.
