Sunday. Why?
It just occured to me on this bank Holiday Sunday, that is Sunday is one of the strangest days of the week. You only really seem to use it for:
1) Doing Housework
2) Visiting Family
3) Messing Around with crap just to fill the time
You might do some shopping, but the hours are limited, and somehow it seems that you can’t do as much. Granted nowadays most places are open just like every other day. But somehow it still feels weird. But anyway, typical British Weather has meant lots of indoor activites. I have recording the podcast and all being well it should be out tommorow. Dave’s Birthday passed yesterday without doing anything as he said He would be out all day and I won’t see him for a little while longer it seems. Shame, but there we are. All I can say mate, is that you had a great birthday! Whatever you did, I hope it was good. Most of yesterday I must confess, I was playing Starcraft, that ye olde RTS from 1998, just getting back in the mood for the sequel.
Shrewsbury was empty yesterday, mainly becuase everyone had travelled down to see Shrewsbury Town play at the new (rip-off) Wembley Stadium, it was the playoff final to be promoted to the football league one. (Which used to be Division 3 if I remember rightly, you see they altered all the leagues and the FA Carling Premiership used to be called Division 1, for our international viewers). Shame they lost 3-1 to Bristol Rovers, but at the very least people got to see what the new £800 million pound stadium was all about. Will ask Ade about it on Monday as he went there, and I dare say he will give us the truth about the place, anyway went out last night in Shrewsbury with Good Ol’ Natalie, and we actually ended up seeing as there was no-one about, Pirates of the Carri-bean (sorry I always think it’s a new type of baked bean when I see the name so I hyphenate it!) 3, and I must confess, I am confused, half of it doesn’t make sense, and half of it is bloody good. Can’t say about what happens as that always is rude, but switch the ol’ brain off and you will love it. Jack was on form, when he was on screen that is. In fact I can’t help but wonder, they should get rid of half the other cast and have just Captain Jack, as Johnny Depp can really carry the film by himself it seems. Keith Richards was great as Jack’s dad by the way. Go and see it, you will like it, but it’s is not as good as the first two.
And Chris, Sorry mate, I know we were going to see it, I do apoligse!
That’s it for now, I read Glyn’s Blog about the Windows Stuff, and well granted My method is not the best by any streach but hey at least it works!! He switched everything off and should be having a quiet weekend. Hope it’s good mate. And on that note, it’s time to wrap this post up. BYE!!
P.S. btw, it appears that someone is noticing this site, as I have started getting SPAM comments, buy Viagra now etc, do they think that they will make money by posting that here, it all has to get past me first!! Doh!
