What a Difference a Day Makes….
The last few days have been eventful and eye opening on a few personal fronts, which won’t be discussed in any real detail, except to say I am completely and utterly gutted at some things I have found out, for the first time in years. Perhaps It is one of the few times I wish I could go back in time and change things with what I know now for the better. (even events after one fateful night back in febuary 2003, but c’est la vie, I know things will never change).
But anyway, Of course camper fans, I do have other things I can write about now, of course the main event of the day was My first day “on the job” (stop laughing at the back!!) with Fujitsu, working the ol’ server management front. It wasn’t actually bad, which was surprising, as most first days at your new job, you just sit there doing nothing, not having a clue what goes on, this of course was different as I knew a fair few people there and they made feel right at home. I even got a goody bag, with an unbreakable (under normal use! Whatever could they mean? 🙂 mouse mat, and company mug. WOOOO! Such joy was mine, I thought I reached it with the Kag in a Bag, but there was something better which shall be reveiled below:
DTS of course, I will miss. I had fantastic laughs and times with them, even though it has been 6 months in the job really, It feels far shorter and I kinda hoped it would last longer. But when oppotunites come to progress, and well being honest, other circumstances come about, you just have to take a leap of faith. They gave me a nice send-off, of which I was speechless (that’s quite an achievement for those who really know me!) and I received the one of the best parting gifts of all time:
A Whoopee Cushion Key-Ring!!
COME ON!!!!!! 🙂
Forget the bottle of Aftershock, the Shots, the nice unsticky copy of NUTS, and the chocs, The Whoopee Cushion was stupendous!!! MY god man, i felt like a 3 year old again, mind you i felt like that last week when I recorded one of my farts with a business dictaphone…..
Well I decided this week to calm down a bit of the socialising front, mainly as I feel close to burnout, so took a few nights off, to relax with some nice wine, Season 2 boxset of Battlestar Galatica, and finally sorted out the front room, and my room, as it had become quite bad again. I have begun to appreicate that staying in is not as bad as I first thought all those years ago. Maybe I am getting old. NOOOOOO!
Tonight Matthew, I am out with Chris and Dave watching some film at the cinema in Cheshire Oaks, haven’t a scooby what though, but hey what’s the worst that can happen? Don’t answer that!! I guess that’s it for now, don’t forget kids:
Stay at School, or pity the fool!! (Which as it happens, appears to be me)
